Lying on the north shore of the Gulf of Lhûn in the elvish region of Lindon stood the city of Forlond (North Haven). Here dwelt Gil-Galad, last High-elven King of the Noldor during the Second Age. Forlond was a harbor city like it's sister cities of Harlond to the south and Mithlond to the east.
Lying on the south shore of the Gulf of Lhûn is the harbor city of Harlond (South Haven). It is a sister city to Forlond in the north and Mithlond to the east. Harlond was governed for a time by Círdan, and Celeborn and Galadriel both resided there prior to living in Lothlórien. The elven smith, Celebrimbor, also dwelt there for some time before founding his own city Ost-in-Edhil in Eregion.
